The fashion world has bowed to streetwear. The front rows of this week’s Fashion Week in Paris feel more like Hypebeast look books than the traditionally dressy Euro Editors insiders club, featuring more guys than girls wearing crossbody bags with one pop of color or another…but what Blue&Cream trend-spotters are most taking note of is the content of Virgil Abloh’s much anticipated and acclaimed Louis Vuitton A/W 2019 Mens Show Wednesday in the Jardins des Tuileries. Take a close look; the setting is an exact replica of a Lower East Side street corner at Rivingtion street and Orchard , Ghostface Killah (the rapper whose interlude with Raekwon is the origin of the brand name “Blue&Cream”) is playing while the models walk the runway, and the show is started with Blue&Cream’s own OG Lenny “Futura 2000” McGurr throwing up a piece while it’s all happening. Call outs from the show are the tonal head to toe grey looks which are fresh to death for any office worker and the glow in the dark and fiber optic optimized streetwear!
